2011 Donor Breakfast

More than 120 individual and corporate donors met to be recognized at the 2011 ASHP Foundation Donor Recognition Breakfast. The breakfast was held in conjunction with the 2011 ASHP Summer Meeting in Denver, Colo.

Our keynote speaker was David A. Zilz, R.Ph., M.S., FASHP. Mr. Zilz is Consultant for Corporate Pharmacy Programs, Clinical Professor Emeritus, University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, Madison; maintains an active independent consulting practice; and is involved with numerous volunteer services. 
 
His professional career began at UW Hospital and Clinics, where he found his forte in identifying and implementing innovative contemporary pharmacy practices services, training of pharmacy residents and developing new hospital administrative services.

Today, he continues to consult for a number of clients in pharmacy related issues, including governmental agencies, several hospitals and integrated health networks, pharmaceutical industry companies both large and small, state health-system pharmacy societies, and university health-related institutions. His primary focus is on strategic planning and operational efficiency related to pharmacy service programs and new directions in health care provision. His expertise includes financial management, clinical and distribution logistics assessments and organizational and operational improvement.
