Drug Therapy Research Award

The Drug Therapy Research Award recognizes an outstanding contribution to the biomedical literature of research involving drug efficacy and safety in humans.

The award will be given annually to the author(s) of an important research article primarily concerning therapeutic efficacy and drug safety in humans published during the calendar year preceding the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting at which the award is presented.  Examples of this research include prospective studies that evaluate clinical effects, pharmacodynamics or pharmacokinetics of drug therapy.  This award is not intended to recognize research in  pharmacy practice or in topics other than drug effects in humans (see Pharmacy Practice Research Award).
