Nominations should be sent to the ASHP Foundation Program Office by June 1, 2010. Each nomination will be reviewed by members of a Selection Panel appointed by the Board of Directors of the ASHP Foundation. At least 4 months prior to the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, copies of all nominated publications and a ballot shall be provided to members of the appropriate Selection Panel. Only required application materials will be forwarded to the selection panel. Each member of the Selection Panel shall return the ballot after grading the award nominations according to the criteria. The Director of Education and Special Programs or his/her designee shall tabulate the returns. If there is a tie vote, there shall be two balloting steps. If no nominations for a specific category are deemed worthy, the Selection Panel reserves the right to not give an award in a given year.
The recipient of the award and the nominator will be notified after the balloting is completed and a public announcement shall be made prior to the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting. The nominators of those who did not receive an award will be notified. Awards are formally presented at the Scientific Session during the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting.
