2013
In March 2013, the ASHP Foundation conducted a radio media tour featuring Allison Paquin, Pharm.D., a clinical pharmacist from VA Boston Healthcare System in Massachusetts. The VA Boston Healthcare System is the 2012 recipient of the Award for Excellence in Medication-Use Safety for its initiative "The PILL Service," which assisted elderly veterans with cognitive difficulties in taking their medications accurately and safely. During the radio media tour, Dr. Paquin spoke about how family caregivers can help their own elderly loved ones with dementia and other cognitive issues to do the same.
