In February 2008, the ASHP Foundation conducted a radio media tour featuring Scott Micek, Pharm.D., a clinical pharmacist whose initiative to more quickly identify and treat sepsis at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis won that institution the 2007 Award for Excellence in Medication-Use Safety.
