Program Description and History

The Pharmacy Leadership Institute is the joint creation of two partners, each committed to advancing leaders in pharmacy practice: the ASHP Foundation and the Boston University Questrom School of Business.

The Institute is the only executive-level leadership program that can be completed in one week and which is specifically designed for health-system pharmacists who practice in acute and ambulatory settings. From 2000, the Pharmacy Leadership Institute has offered a select group of health-system pharmacy leaders the opportunity to learn from highly acclaimed tenured professors at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.

The nationally ranked school provides a unique atmosphere to learn recent advances in the business leadership community that can be directly applied to pharmacy’s challenges and opportunities. Class size is limited to 38 participants, offering exceptional faculty–participant and participant–participant interaction.
The program’s alumni include more than 445 passionate leaders who have fundamentally transformed health care organizations, pharmacy teams and individuals.
