Building Presence With Executive Leadership: Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the Independent Study the participant will:

 1. Describe why managing up the organization matters.
 2. Describe the importance of win-win relationships with executive leadership.
 3. Identify the characteristics of integrative thinking.
 4. Describe the C-suite and Board perspectives regarding establishing organizational priorities.

At the conclusion of the Web Presentation the participant will:

 1. Define essential elements of program proposals to ensure that Pharmacy is a priority when requesting resources.
 2.  Identify approaches to gather information about Executives to ensure expectations are met.
 3.  Describe the challenges of presenting proposals to the c-Suite and Boards.
 4.  Define the characteristics of Executives that may be identified as either a "listener" or "reader"

At the conclusion of the Case Study/Teleconference the participant will:

 1.  Describe information that is needed by employees to know more about their         executives to ensure a more collaborative relationship.
 2.  Identify ways to disagree with your boss and not jeopardize the project, the team or your job.
 3.  Describe an approach when negotiating priorities with the Supervisor.
 4.  Describe the keys to managing upward that are essential when presenting a         problem to the boss.
