Douglas E. Miller, Pharm.D., is Vice President & Chief of Pharmacy at Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia, and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy at Mercer University School of Pharmacy. Miller has also directed pharmacy programs at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. At each of these institutions, Dr. Miller initiated a residency program and developed a strong clinical pharmacy program with college of pharmacy affiliations and faculty appointments for clinical preceptors.
Miller is currently a member of ASHP’s Section Advisory Group on Leadership Development, and served as a member of the ASHP Research and Education Foundation’s Center for Health-System Pharmacy Leadership Development Initiative Advisory Committee. He is also Chairman of the University Health-System Consortium (UHC) Pharmacy Council Research and Education Committee and a member of the UHC Pharmacy Council Executive Committee.
