At the conclusion of the Web Presentation the participant will:
1. Identify leadership roles that pharmacists must play in improving medication safety.
2. Summarize the business case for transparency in dealing with adverse patient events.
3. Describe the concept of flexible authority in preventing medication errors.
4. Identify two possible drivers of public policy change in medication use safety.
At the conclusion of the Case Study/Teleconference the participant will:
1. List at least five principles that should be adhered to when redesigning hospital space for patient safety.
2. Describe three “push tools” that can be utilized to reward employees for contributions to patient safety.
