The Type 2 Diabetes Patient Care Traineeship is designed for pharmacists in acute, ambulatory, and home care settings who are implementing specialized services for improving outcomes for patients with type 2 diabetes. The traineeship prepares participants (who have little experience in providing pharmaceutical care to patients with type 2 diabetes) to design patient-specific pharmacotherapy; solve drug therapy problems; and develop protocols, policies, and procedures for the treatment of such patients.
