In 2006, the ASHP Foundation awarded more than $500,000 through research grants, educational programs and awards to over 70 promising researchers, students and leaders in the field of health-system pharmacy.

But the story doesn't end with funding -- many of these individuals make major differences in patient care with the results of their ground-breaking research projects; contribute to improved patient outcomes with what they have learned in traineeships; and provide the profession with exemplary role models when recognized for their hard work in the areas of medication safety, pharmacy residency training, pharmacy literature and student leadership.
