University of Cincinnati

The Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership at the University of Cincinnati’s James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy is a fully online program designed to prepare degree candidates for leadership roles in all pharmacy practice settings. The program is well-suited for pharmacists serving as, or desiring to become, executives within the C-suite and corporate structures of their organizations.

Our students participate in unique interprofessional training opportunities through partnerships with UC’s Lindner College of Business Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program and College of Allied Health Sciences Online Master of Health Administration (MHA) Program. The curriculum is delivered in an online format that enables leaders to advance their education without disrupting their current personal or professional roles. Students can access program content on their own time and at their own pace, allowing for a more flexible approach to teaching and learning.

Graduates of the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy® are eligible to receive 6 semester credit hours toward the completion of the Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership. This credit can apply for two separate 3 credit hour courses in the program – thus reducing the required coursework from 10 courses (30 semester credit hours) to only 8 courses (24 semester credit hours), with program completion in just 4 semesters. Note: Normally, credits are not transferred if they were earned more than five years prior to the date of the students’ application to the University of Cincinnati program that is considering the credit transfer without approval by the Director or Associate Dean of the Graduate School.

Application are accepted year-round. Learn more about admission requirements and program curriculum.
