Douglas Miller

 

Douglas E. Miller, Pharm.D., is the former Vice President & Chief of Pharmacy at Grady Health System in Atlanta, Ga., and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy at Mercer University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Miller has also directed pharmacy programs at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. 

At each of these institutions, Dr. Miller initiated a residency program and developed a strong clinical pharmacy program with college of pharmacy affiliations and faculty appointments for clinical preceptors.   
Since retiring from Grady Health System, Dr. Miller has been an independent pharmacy consultant, focusing on information systems & technology, Medicare Part-D, pharmacy operations, and 340(b) maximization & compliance. 

Dr. Miller was the 2009 recipient of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists' Award for Distinguished Leadership in Health-System Pharmacy Practice, which recognizes excellence in health-system pharmacy practice leadership.
