Valorie Wilkins

Valorie Wilkins is an experienced pharmacy leader with diverse operational and clinical experience.  Most recently, she was Director of Pharmacy at Swedish Edmonds with wide ranging responsibilities as the hospital transitioned from an independent Stevens Hospital to Swedish Edmonds and most recently became part of the Providence Health Care System. 

During her 16 years in Edmonds (8 as Director), Val managed transitions between multiple fiscal, HR and IT programs and implementation of an EMR. She established and maintained relationships with key providers to facilitate ongoing and emerging service needs. Val directed significant critical events, such as H1N1 mass vaccination clinics and service and recovery during a 2013 onsite fire.  

Val is a Seattle native and earned her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. She obtained a master’s degree in pharmacy practice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she also completed her pharmacy residency program. She received her master’s in business administration through the Executive Development Program at the University of Rochester. 

Val is a member of ASHP, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, School of Pharmacy, University of Washington and has served as a preceptor in multiple practice sites. Val is passionate about continued learning, teaching, and mentoring her team. She enjoys working with multidisciplinary teams to find novel solutions to problems.
