University of Cincinnati Visit

On April 12-13, 2012, David Zilz visited the University of Cincinnati's James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy in Ohio. He spent two days meeting with residents from the area and offering one-on-one mentoring to the program's residents.

David Zilz with Marianne Ivey, an associate professor of the University of Cincinnati's James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. Zilz and Ivey are also fellow Whitney Award recipients.
Zilz first gave a presentation to the program's residents.
  R. J. Frey, the residency program director for St. Elizabeth's in Kentucky, joined Zilz in talking about future pharmacy enterprises.
Afterward, he spent one-on-one time with VA Cincinnati residents, including (from left to right) PGY-2 resident Jeremy Hilty and PGY-1 residents Joori Noh, Bonnie Yeung and Saji Kurian.
This included individual mentoring sessions with each resident.
Zilz has enjoyed meeting the individual residents during these visits, like Bonnie Hui-Callahan, a PGY-1 resident at Krogers/University of Cincinnati.
