ASHP Foundation Names Tom Rice to Board of Directors

The ASHP Foundation has announced the appointment Thomas J. Rice, M.B.A., to the ASHP Foundation Board of Directors as a Director at Large.

Mr. Rice serves as the Vice President of U.S. Market Access & Payer Strategy for Amgen Inc., where he and his team are responsible for setting the strategic direction for market access across Amgen’s entire portfolio. A 12-year veteran at Amgen, he previously served as Executive Director of the Cardiovascular Reimbursement Value & Access (RAV) team including the flagship product Repatha®.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Tom to the ASHP Foundation Board of Directors,” said ASHP Foundation Chair Jack Tighe. “His experience and perspective will be an asset to the Foundation as we begin implementing the Foundation’s new strategic plan. It’s an exciting time at the Foundation, and Tom’s appointment reflects our commitment to supporting ASHP and its members through the funding of pharmacy focused research, education and leadership development.”

Mr. Rice earned an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Tom has also shared his knowledge and expertise as an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Science Program in Healthcare Decision Analysis at the USC School of Pharmacy.
