ASHP Foundation Receives Platinum Rating for Philanthropy
BETHESDA, Md. — The ASHP Foundation (Foundation) announced today it has earned the Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information.
To reach the Platinum level, the Foundation added extensive information to its nonprofit profile on GuideStar, including in-depth financial information, qualitative information about goals, strategies, and capabilities, and quantitative information about results and progress toward its mission. The data provided gives donors meaningful data to evaluate the Foundation's success in achieving its mission.
"We are thrilled to receive validation of our ongoing efforts to ensure that supporters of the ASHP Foundation's important work see the impact of their donations,” said the Foundation CEO Steven A. Rubloff. “The Guidestar designation affirms our ongoing commitment to transparency and allows us to communicate our initiatives that advance pharmacy practice to a broader community of grantmakers and other funders.”
Donations to the ASHP Foundation support ASHP members in impactful ways, such as:
• A substantial investment of $4 million in research funding to advance pharmacy practice and demonstrate the critical role pharmacists play in medication management and safety
• Support for a broad array of programs and initiatives, such as the Pharmacy Leadership Academy, that develop the leadership skills of emerging and experienced leaders across the career continuum, including student pharmacists and pharmacy residents
• Directly addressing the shortage of pharmacy residency positions by awarding more than $3.4 million in funding to establish nearly 100 new pharmacy residency positions
