Patrick E. Parker

Meet faculty member Pat Parker and listen to his welcome message!

Pat Parker is Director of Pharmacy, IV Therapy, and the Anticoagulation Clinic at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas serving since 1984. He holds Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice appointment with the University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy. 

Pat earned an Associate of Science degree from Kansas City, Kansas Community College, Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy and a Master’s of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Kansas. He completed the University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics Executive Management Fellowship in 1991.

Pat served ASHP in the House of Delegates, the Committee on Nominations, and as faculty in the Foundation’s Pharmacy Leadership Academy. The Kansas Council of Health Systems Pharmacists honored Pat with the 2011 Legacy Award. He served on the Kansas Board of Pharmacy. Kansas Society of Health System’s Pharmacists honors include serving as President, receiving the Harold N Godwin Achievement Award, and Hospital Pharmacist of the Year. 

Pat has lead multiple medical missions to Kenya through the Kansas-2-Kenya program. He presented at the International College of Health Sciences Conference, University of Nairobi School of Medicine, Kenya, Africa in 2011 and in 2014 participated in the University of Nairobi School of Pharmacy’s developmental program on pharmacist provided vaccinations.       

Pat and his wife Marilyn, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, live in Lawrence. They have been active locally with Health Care Access, Douglas County Senior Services, Lawrence Douglas County School Health Advisory Board, and St Margaret’s Episcopal Church. They have 5 children and 7 adorable grandchildren.
