Medication Systems Improvement Grant
The Medication Systems Improvement Grant is a competitive program for health-system pharmacy administration and leadership (HSPAL) preceptors and residents.
The HSPAL preceptor applies for this research grant, then selects a resident to participate in the program and serve as the project’s co-investigator.
The medication management system project will involve developing, implementing and/or evaluating tools and processes that support the safe, effective, and efficient use of medications in a healthcare setting where direct patient care is provided.
- Research, improvement and implementation projects are eligible.
- Applicants are encouraged to use a range of resources (e.g., ASHP Centers of Excellence, ASHP Practice Advancement Initiative, and the Autonomous Pharmacy framework) to identify a project that is meaningful and aligned with priorities of their organization.
- Funding is limited to preceptors and residents in a HSPAL program that is ASHP-accredited or in candidate or pre-candidate status.
Grantees will:
- Receive up to $7,500 in funding.
- Participate in virtual meetings as a cohort with project mentors and health-system leaders.
- Present at an in-person poster and networking session at a national ASHP meeting.
