Medication Safety Outreach

           Patient Safety Awareness Week               Radio Media Tours

Each year, the ASHP Foundation holds a radio media tour to raise patient safety awareness. Representatives from the previous year's Award for Excellence in Medication Safety recipient conduct radio interviews around the country to educate the public on  relevant patient safety topics.

How to Manage Pain Safely and Successfully

During Patient Safety Awareness Week, Clinical Pharmacy Manager Dawn Waddell, Pharm.D., BCPS of Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis served as the Foundation’s pharmacist spokesperson on managing pain safely and successfully. The audio news release and 18 radio interviews reached over 18 million listeners.
