ASHP Foundation, #PharmGradWishlist, Award 50 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting Student Travel Stipends
The ASHP Foundation, in collaboration with #PharmGradWishlist, is pleased to announce the awarding of 50 PharmD candidates with $500 stipends and registrations to offset expenses associated with attending the 2023 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition in Anaheim, California. The response to this new program was very positive, with applications received from all over the country.
The award package also includes a one-year ASHP membership to support continued professional engagement and development. The ASHP Midyear Travel Award program was adapted from the pre-existing #PharmGradWishlist Midyear Scholarship Program designed to enhance the diversity and inclusivity of the pharmacy workforce for those in pharmacy school seeking post-graduate training, residency, or fellowships. All awardees identify as being a part of a racially and/or ethnically minoritized group(s).
“I am incredibly honored and deeply grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of the ASHP Midyear Travel Award,” said recipient Joy Morrow, a PharmD candidate at Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Buies Creek, North Carolina. “Receiving this award and recognition is truly humbling and means a great deal to me. I am immensely grateful to the ASHP Foundation for considering my application. This award serves as both a tremendous honor and a significant milestone in my pharmacy journey. I am committed to upholding the values and standards that this award represents in affording my attendance to the 2023 ASHP Midyear meeting.”
The ASHP Midyear Travel Awards Program is partly supported by individual donors and a generous contribution from Marvin Samson.
