ASHP Foundation Announces Inaugural Pharmacy Student Scholarship Recipients
The ASHP Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship. Announced last year at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition, the scholarship program supports Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) pharmacy students as we seek to increase representation from historically underrepresented groups in the pharmacy workforce.
The new program is part of ASHP’s longstanding commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion and supports the recommendations and goals outlined in the ASHP Task Force on Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
The inaugural program awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarships to pharmacy students enrolled at U.S.-accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) beginning in fall 2023.
