Strengthening the Pharmacy Workforce Through Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship program is part of ASHP’s longstanding commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion and supports the recommendations and goals outlined in the ASHP Task Force on Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Announced last year at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition, the scholarship program supports Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) pharmacy students as we seek to increase representation from historically underrepresented groups in the pharmacy workforce.
The inaugural program awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarships to pharmacy students enrolled at US-accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in fall 2023.
Thank you to Apexus for providing a generous donation as a lead supporter of this program. You can support the future of pharmacy and help fund these new scholarships by donating to the ASHP Foundation Scholarship Fund.
The ASHP Foundation, as the philanthropic arm of ASHP, is strongly committed to advocating and advancing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive pharmacy workforce ready to address health disparities and support optimal patient care for all.
