ASHP Foundation, Fresenius Kabi Announce Pharmacy Cares Recipients

This Pharmacy Week, the ASHP Foundation and Fresenius Kabi, an operating company of Fresenius, are thrilled to announce the six recipients of the 2024 Pharmacy Cares Awards. The awards highlight pharmacy's vital role in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings by recognizing the countless ways pharmacy cares.

The inaugural Pharmacy Cares Awardees are:

Learn more about the awardees, who will be featured in Fresenius Kabi’s booth at the 2024 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition, Dec. 8-12, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This awards program began in late 2023 as an interactive storytelling project and fundraiser benefiting the ASHP Foundation at the Midyear in Anaheim, California. Fresenius Kabi invited all Midyear attendees to add a photo to the interactive display honoring individuals who exemplify the pharmacists' critical role in patient care. Fresenius Kabi made a $20 donation for each photo added to the installation, culminating in a $25,000 gift.

2024 marks the eighth year of Fresenius Kabi's Midyear collaboration with the Foundation, which has raised a total of $170,000.
