ASHP Foundation Awards Nearly $40,000 in Grant Funding for Research

The ASHP Foundation (Foundation) recently awarded nearly $40,000 to four researchers through the Pharmacy Leadership Scholars™ research grant program. This competitive grant program supports meaningful research and builds a community of leaders to spread and sustain change and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and access to healthcare. The Pharmacy Leadership Scholars program is supported by Chiesi.

In addition to receiving up to $10,000 per grant for their research, the grant recipients will participate in a distance-engagement component to support their project progress, enhance their leadership and research skills, and expand the network of pharmacists positioned to lead for equity.

“The distance-engagement component of the Pharmacy Leadership Scholars Program is an innovation to traditional research grants,” said ASHP Foundation CEO Steven A. Rubloff. “Providing the Scholars the opportunity to collaborate in finding solutions to DEI-related challenges will have a lasting impact on the practice of pharmacy and, ultimately, patient care.”
