How the Foundation is Addressing the Opioid Crisis: An ASHP Member Priority

The ASHP Foundation is committed to supporting ASHP’s efforts to address the opioid crisis, by supporting pain management training and educating consumers about the role pharmacists play in combating this epidemic.

Providing Specialty Training
101 pharmacists have participated in the ASHP Foundation Advanced Pain Management and Palliative Care Traineeship.

This ACPE-accredited educational experience provides knowledge and skills essential for enhancing the care of patients in pain and those with palliative care needs.

"This kind of training helps advance pharmacy practice. The traineeship is honestly the best thing to show that you’re serious about pain management and palliative care."
