Ensuring a Diverse Pharmacy Workforce
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The ASHP Foundation understands the vital need to create and foster a diverse community of pharmacists and pharmacy leaders and to help address racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare.
As part of ASHP’s longstanding commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion and in support of the recommendations and goals outlined in the ASHP Task Force on Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the ASHP Foundation has launched two new programs, the ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship and the ASHP Midyear Travel Award aimed at supporting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) pharmacy students.
We are excited to be able to offer these programs again in 2024, and we need your help supporting as many students as possible!
You can help change a student’s life by going to ashpfoundation.org/donate and selecting either “ASHP Midyear Travel Award Fund” or “ASHP Foundation Scholarship Fund” from the drop-down menu.
ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship
The inaugural cycle of the ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship, supported by Apexus, awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarships to pharmacy students enrolled at US-accredited historically Black colleges and universities in fall 2023. We are looking forward to opening this program again in 2024.
